"I have been singing with Tyler for almost a year. I have been singing for my entire life and during these years, I have been with 4 different voice teachers. Each time I began with a teacher, I found that it took so much time to become comfortable that I could not even begin to work on my voice. Each time I felt like I was starting fresh—learning a new technique, working with someone who had yet to learn and understand my voice and my vocal needs. When I began with Tyler, of course I felt this sensation of starting fresh. What came as such a pleasant surprise was the ease with which I felt comfortable. Rather than holding back because I was nervous or not relaxed, I easily felt comforted and I allowed myself to fully expose the voice that I sing with behind closed doors. From here, we began to really work. With past teachers, I felt that too much focus was placed in either the classical or the musical theatre genres. With Tyler, we always maintain a perfect mix of classical and musical theatre pieces. I have had so many “AHA!” moments over the months.
