Strategy Priority!

Strategy Priority is a great way for not only organization, but also essential to a successful business.  And, at the the end of the day we are selling a product/service to a buyer, aka a business.

What exactly is strategy priority?  Bob Iger (CEO of Disney) says that strategy priority is a concise and precise way of goal spotting and accomplishing.  Focus, Strategy, and Priority.  Only a few strategies allows for more focus; too many strategies loses centering of focus.  Then, good communication of your 3 to 4 strategies.  What is the specific goal and how do you get there?  After, what is the priority list?

It’s important to be candid and honest with yourself and your team/village of trusted coaches, management/agents, and colleagues.  Having a weekly (or bi-weekly) “office meeting” with yourself and/or with your village, this is a way of keeping your strategies and priorities up-to-date and focused.

EXAMPLE:

Overall GOAL:  A Successful/Fulfilled Fall Audition Season

Strategy 1: Organized calendar / Audition hunting

- Weekly 'office hours' (online hunt, emails, audition requirements, ect)

Strategy 2: Structured, consistent training/class (voice- acting- dance)

- Strategized training; regular gym-sessions vs rep./call-back sessions, specific dance-style brush-up on particular up-coming call-backs/shows, acting brush up classes (theater vs film)

Strategy 3:  Personal Inspiration

- Continual artistic motivation: weekly book, daily MASTERCLASS, monthly paint class, cooking class, wine-tasting, weekly library visit, daily park walk

We all work and are inspired in different ways as unique individuals.  Take the time with Strategy Priority to find your flow, motivation, and focus.
